You are viewing a used Minolta MAXXUM AF 7000 35mm film camera in great useable condition. This camera works perfectly. The cosmetic condition is consistent with it’s age. The rubber cover shows marks, especially on the hand grip area. Otherwise the cosmetics are quite good. The glossy black polycarbonate housing is free from cracks or dings, all the buttons work as designed and the viewfinder is clear and bright. The LCD screen shows some bleeding in the lower right corner (see photos) but all data on the screen can still be read.
The MAXXUM AF 7000 was the world first true autofocus SLR camera. First appearing in January 1985, the MAXXUM line from Minolta rocked the photographic world and gave them a good run as the only true AF camera maker on earth. It took Canon, Nikon and Pentax three years to bring out competing products.
This is a great starter camera body for a photography student or for any Minoltaphile that wants to round out the collection.
This camera body is being sold AS IS NO RETURNS, NO REFUNDS.

Exposure modes: Program (P): Shutter speed and aperture set according to one of three camera-selected
AE programs: Both shutter speed and aperture set according to AE program automatically selected by camera: Wide program for focal lengths shorter than 35mm, Standard for focal lengths from 35mm to 105mm, Tele for focal lengths longer than 105mm; program changes automatically when zooming from one range to another.
Aperture-priority AE (A): Available apertures selectable in half-stops, camera sets corresponding stepless shutter speed
Shutter-priority AE (S): Speeds 1/2000 to 30 sec. selectable in full stops, camera sets aperture from available range on lens
Metered-manual (M): Manual setting of any speed and aperture; settings and correct exposure indicated in data panel and viewfinder
TTL flash metering: Operates in all flash modes with dedicated units; viewfinder LED signals flash charge and sufficient exposure
P: Automatic setting of X-sync to 1/100 sec. (11 /60 below EV 12 at ISO 100) and aperture; automatic fill-in flash with bright subjects
A: 1/100 X-sync; any available aperture usable; AE lock button enables slower X-sync speeds to balance flash with ambient lighting
M: X-sync at 1/100 or slower speeds, any available aperture usable; X-sync speed is reset to 1 /100 if 1/125 or faster speeds are set
Exposure controls: Exposure adjustment EV +4 to -4 in half-stops; AE lock holds metered AE settings; program shift for temporary selection of other programmed aperture shutter speed settings (in half-stops) for metered EV, shifted settings held as long as meter stays on.
